The contribution of CNG powered vehicles in the transition to zero emission mobility - example of the light commercial vehicles fleet

The aim of paper was to discuss contribution bi-fuel CNG powered light commercial vehicles the well-to-wheel CO2 equivalent emissions, both today and in coming decades which development new fuels is expected. Field research done Belgrade, during one year, using Euro 5 diesel/LPG/CNG driving under low vehicle speed, engine load, exhaust gas temperature high number stops. as neutral methodology applied for understanding each fuel path-way terms reducing greenhouse emissions increasing energy efficiency. Calculation showed that total consumption per kilometre lowest diesel since petrol/LPG petrol/CNG use 21% 7% more energy. Tank-to-wheel emission most favorable with 28.8% 6.7% less vehicles. same conclusion brings analysis showing diesel/CNG 13.5% than petrol/LPG, apropos 1.5% operated considered within this field research. Figures are not previous, due results well-to-tank emission, were vehicles, almost 51% 32% better regarding diesel, respectively. Within time, cost achieved by 35% available technology should be neglected, waiting solutions proven.
